Protect your wood floor from excessively dry air
Wood is a hygroscopic material, which means that the moisture content in it adjusts to the surrounding atmosphere (room temperature and esp. humidity). If the humidity in a room is too low, the wood dries out, which can lead to deformation, warping, and gaps in the wood. And too little humidity in a room may also have a negative impact on the health of the room's occupants. For the reasons given, the Swiss Wood Flooring Industry Interest Group (ISP) recommends a "healthy" indoor climate of 20-22° C with a relative humidity of 35-45%. With the help of the hygrometer and the Venta Airwasher, you'll be able to achieve these number all year round.
The Venta Airwasher operates without the use of filter pads. The machine pulls in air from the room and passes it over a stack of discs rotating in water, regularly washing the air. Even the tiniest particles, as small as 10 μm (10/1000 mm) are captured in the water. At the same time, pure water on the exchangers evaporates by what is recognized as the best method, cold evaporation. Cold evaporation offers some key advantages. Air is automatically properly humidified. There's no excessive moisture
or lime deposits.
